Kristin M. Hampson

Attorney/Owner

As a graduate of The University of Georgia I majored in Psychology and minored in Political Science. I earned my J.D. from Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. Through my undergraduate studies in Psychology and coursework in Family Law in law school, I knew I wanted to help people and families.

I interned at the The Law Office of Meredith J. McGill, PA while in law school and joined the firm as an associate after graduating. In 2007, I became a Partner at McGill & Hampson, PA where I remained until opening Hampson Family Law in 2017.

I have practiced Family Law exclusively since finishing law school and have extensive experience in all areas of Family Law mediation and litigation. I regularly assist my clients in resolving disputes through alternative means, as well as through litigation of Family Law matters.

Peggy Pardue

Paralegal

I was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey, but have lived in the Raleigh area since 1969. I am a North Carolina Certified Paralegal through the North Carolina State Bar, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Legal Assistants Division, and a Notary Public.  I am an involved member of the Paralegal Division and was the recipient of the North Carolina Distinguished Paralegal Award in 2024.

In the past, I was with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners, where I worked for seven years in their disciplinary section. Subsequently, I was an Executive Assistant with a local propane company before I began working as a Paralegal in 2003 with The Law Office of Meredith J. McGill, PA. I continued my role as a Family Law Paralegal transitioning to Hampson Family Law when it opened in 2017.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family, doing home improvement projects, fishing, boating, and traveling. I am an advocate for motorcycle safety and am a member of the National Harley Davidson Owners Group.
