Kristin M. Hampson
Attorney/Owner
As a graduate of The University of Georgia I majored in Psychology and minored in Political Science. I earned my J.D. from Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. Through my undergraduate studies in Psychology and coursework in Family Law in law school, I knew I wanted to help people and families.
I interned at the The Law Office of Meredith J. McGill, PA while in law school and joined the firm as an associate after graduating. In 2007, I became a Partner at McGill & Hampson, PA where I remained until opening Hampson Family Law in 2017.
I have practiced Family Law exclusively since finishing law school and have extensive experience in all areas of Family Law mediation and litigation. I regularly assist my clients in resolving disputes through alternative means, as well as through litigation of Family Law matters.

Kristin Pennock
Associate Attorney
After earning my B.A. from Brigham Young University, I started my career as a 911 operator because my passion is supporting people in times of crisis, conflict, and change. This same passion brought me to law school to study family law. I graduated with honors from Washington University School of Law, a top 16 law school in the nation, and earned both a J.D. degree an L.L.M. degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. Before joining Hampson Family Law, I worked with clients experiencing domestic violence, including representing children facing abuse and neglect. I am thrilled to have joined Hampson Family Law and to be working with clients across a broad range of family law issues.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my spouse and two children, cooking new foods, and going on walks with our crazy rescue dog.

I was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey, but have lived in the Raleigh area since 1969. I am a North Carolina Certified Paralegal through the North Carolina State Bar, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Legal Assistants Division, and am a Notary Public.
In the past I was with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners, where I worked for seven years in their disciplinary section. I continued my role as a Family Law Paralegal transitioning to Hampson Family Law when it opened in 2017.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family, doing home improvement projects, fishing, boating, and traveling.
